Margaret River makers are easy to find on the main street, and there are more beyond it. The Margaret River Fudge Factory has made fudge by hand in town since 1999, with a window onto the kitchen where each batch is mixed, poured and cut. Vasse Virgin has a store in the township, and Margaret River Hemp Co has one on Bussell Highway. Temper Temper, the Cowaramup chocolatiers, has a newer shop on the main street too, next door to Two Cracks Coffee. Yahava KoffeeWorks, which began in a shed on Metricup Road in 2001, has its South West KoffeeWorks on Andrews Way.

Some makers are easier to meet online. Bahen & Co stone-grinds chocolate on the family farm, using machines from the 1930s and around 1910. Soap Suds & Oils makes hemp seed oil soap, and Celestial Salts hand-pours soy candles. None of the three list a place to visit, so order from their sites. Foragers Honey, based near Nannup, keeps apiaries across the Margaret River and Nannup region for its raw jarrah, marri and wildflower honey. Margaret River Food Company, a chef-run kitchen that began in 2013 with an onion jam, supplies its jars to outlets around the South West.

Just out of town, Olio Bello has a tasting room on its olive farm. Parking in town is free, with a few timed bays on the main street. When it rains, our Margaret River rainy day guide heads underground to the caves.
