A Margaret River tea business, trading since 2018, hand-packing loose-leaf teas named for South West places, from Injidup Earl Grey to Kilcarnup Chai.

Margaret River Tea Company names its teas after the map. Ellensbrook, Injidup, Boranup, Kilcarnup, Wilyabrup, Prevelly, Gracetown, Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste all turn up on its labels. The names are a nod to the coast and forests where the owners live and are raising their family.

The leaf itself comes from the world's tea-growing regions. There is black tea from Sri Lanka, green sencha from China and herbs from as far away as Egypt. The business has been trading since 2018. It blends by hand where it can, and packs the tea by hand in Margaret River, into resealable food-grade bags or amber jars chosen to keep the leaf fresh.

The range is short and easy to find your way around. There is an English breakfast and an earl grey, a Chinese green sencha, two spiced chai blends and a handful of herbal teas. A caffeine-free blend of hibiscus, elderflower and orange peel is made for cold brewing in a bottle in the fridge. Each product page lists the ingredients, the country the leaf was grown in, the pack weight and how to brew it.

The teas are stocked by shops around the region, from Dunsborough to Augusta, and poured in cafes from Prevelly to Albany. The business doesn't advertise a shopfront, so buy online or from one of the shops that carry its teas.
