These are the terms for using madedownsouth.com.au. They're short because the site is simple: we write about makers, and you buy from them.
Who runs this site
Made Down South is an independent guide to natural and small-batch goods made in the South West of Western Australia. Frances Simmons and Shane look after it from Busselton. Made Down South is run by Wild Urban Organics (ABN 85 543 288 407).

What the site does, and doesn't do
We write about makers and link to their own shops. We don't sell, stock or ship anything, and checkout on this site is switched off.
When you buy, you buy from the maker, on their website, at their price and under their terms. Their returns, delivery and privacy policies apply to that purchase.
We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by the makers we write about unless a maker's own page says so. Each unclaimed maker page carries the line "Independent guide. Not affiliated with or endorsed by" followed by the maker's name.
Check with the maker before you rely on a detail
We check each fact against a source, and every maker page shows when its facts were last checked and where they came from. Makers change their ranges, prices, hours and policies, though, and a page can fall behind.
Before you buy, travel or rely on a detail, check the maker's own site. If you find something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
Links to other sites
Our links go mostly to makers' own websites. Journal guides also link to the sources we used, and some articles on this site link to Amazon Australia. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we don't control them.
Our "Visit" buttons to makers' shops carry a short tracking tag, so the maker can see the visit came from us.
How we earn
Makers don't pay to be listed. Some articles on this site contain Amazon affiliate links, and each of those articles says so near the links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
If we ever earn from a link to a maker, or offer paid placements, the page where it happens will say so. The independence and disclosure page has the detail.
Not health advice
We describe food, skincare, soap, candles and homewares as products: taste, scent, feel, ingredients, where they're made and how to use them. Nothing on this site is health advice.
Our words and drawings
The writing, drawn labels, maps and design on this site are our own work, and covered by copyright. You're welcome to link to any page, and to quote a short passage with a link back. Please ask before copying whole pages or reusing our drawings.
Makers' names, logos and trade marks belong to them. We use a maker's name to say who they are, never to suggest they endorse us. Where a maker page shows the maker's own photos, they're used with the maker's written permission and remain theirs.
For makers
If we've written about your business, you can ask us to correct the page, add your own photos and wording, or take the page down. Corrections and removals are actioned within 48 hours. Use Is this your business? to get in touch.
The monthly email and messages you send
If you join the monthly email or send us a message, our privacy page explains what we collect and what we do with it.
Using the site fairly
Please don't use the site to break the law, to interfere with how it runs, or to collect other people's details.
Your rights under Australian law
Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the site starts selling goods directly, these terms will be rewritten before the first sale, and this page will say what changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
