Margaret River Fudge Factory
Old English Caramel is the more traditional of the two caramel fudges in this range. Where a salted caramel bar plays sweetness against salt, this one keeps to a plainer, old-fashioned caramel flavour. It starts the usual way, with sugar, butter and cream boiled until it thickens, then cooled and worked to a soft, dense set.
It is made fresh in the kitchen of Margaret River Fudge Factory, a family-owned and operated business on the main street of Margaret River, Western Australia, that says it has been making fudge by hand since 1999. A viewing window into the kitchen lets customers watch each batch mixed, poured and cut.
