Celestial Salts

The first ingredient at Celestial Salts is grown, not bought. The maker describes its blends as built around flowers that are home-grown and hand-picked from its own gardens in the Margaret River region. The petals in a bath bomb started as plants somebody watered.

It states that its products are made in Australia, without added colours, dyes or sprays.

What the gardens cannot supply, the maker says it sources from other producers, and it names them. Its hemp seed oil comes from Vasse Valley, the hemp farm at North Jindong. Its coconut oil comes from Coco Earth. Della Fay Olive Oils, Natural Blossom Petals, WA Lake Salt and Gumleaf Essentials are on the list too. Publishing a supplier list is a generous habit: it sends attention to other producers, and it lets a customer see where a product really begins.

Beyond the bath, the range reaches into the rest of the house. There are hand-poured soy candles, with scent pairings such as ylang ylang and sandalwood, or passionfruit and lime. The lip balms are made with beeswax and cocoa butter and come in small aluminium pots with screw-top lids. There are three flavours: Orange Creamsicle, Very Berry and Vanilla Bean. There is a bamboo-handled body brush, and sets of handmade bath bombs.

Celestial Salts does not publish a street address, and it is not clear whether the gardens can be visited, so check the maker's site before planning a trip around it.
