Anniebrook is a stretch of Caves Road just outside Dunsborough, and the reason to stop is honey.

Icon Honey has its tasting gallery inside Happs Pottery, next to a live beehive, on the property where the family extracts, packs and labels its honey. It began with one hive and jars sold from the pottery shopfront. Now the hives go where the blossom is, into native bush on farms whose owners let them in, and the range is named for the trees: karri from near Northcliffe and Pemberton, peppi from around Cape Naturaliste and Siesta Park, blackbutt from Manjimup to Dwellingup. Every jar has a batch code on its base that you can enter on the maker's site to see where that honey came from, and empty jars can go back to be cleaned and refilled.
