River Ceramics

This limited-edition magpie art print reproduces one of the clay wall pieces from the 2024 Magpie Series. The birds are the Australian magpies that live around the maker's property, and their dawn song is familiar across the South West. There are four designs, and the maker limits the edition to 50 paper prints.

Jolene makes ceramic wall art and sculpture alongside her tableware at River Ceramics, her studio in Margaret River, Western Australia. In 2022 her framed wall piece 'Karri' won the Margaret River Art Prize. She specialises in sgraffito, scratching a design through a layer of colour to the clay beneath, and taught herself much of her approach.

Frame it for a hallway or a study, or give it to someone who greets the local magpies each morning.
