Two Cracks Coffee

Two Cracks Coffee is a small-batch roastery and cafe on Bussell Highway, the main road through Cowaramup. Every bean it serves or sells is roasted in house.

Dale, the owner and roaster, grew up in Malta, where coffee with a strong Sicilian and Italian accent was part of everyday life. He sources single origins from small micro-lot farms where he can, roasts them in small batches, and describes the business as multi-award-winning.

The name is roasting talk. As beans roast they crack twice, audibly, and where the roaster stops in relation to those two cracks decides how light or dark the coffee ends up.

Online, the current single origins are sold in one-kilogram bags, and there's a pack of four different 250g coffees sent by tracked express post. The list changes as each lot runs out. If you're in Busselton rather than Cowaramup, Two Cracks also has Stall 7 at Origins Market on West Street.
