Busselton has makers worth leaving the foreshore for. The town has its own soap maker in Moon Haven, a business four generations strong. Leonie started it in the family kitchen around the turn of the millennium, and today it sells online. The signature recipe took three years to settle, and every batch is left to dry and harden before it goes out. The soaps are named for places, with Seagrass scented to bring Geographe Bay to mind.

Origins Market on West Street is indoors, with more than 50 makers under one roof. Obison Coffee Roasters pours coffee from a stall there, and its name combines the names of the family's two sons. Capricopia, the goat and bee farm from the Margaret River region, has had a craft co-op stall at the market since November 2021. The farm makes goat's milk soap and beeswax candles.
