Elamoore Natural Soaps

Elamoore Natural Soaps is a small South West business that makes soap by hand in Western Australia. Its home base for shoppers is a stall inside Origins Market in Busselton, the all-weather indoor market on West Street, and the full range is also sold online.

The soaps are cold process, made in small batches and cut by hand, so every bar is a little different in weight, with 100g the minimum. There is no palm oil in them and no fragrance oils: the scent comes from essential oils such as cedarwood, sweet orange, rosemary and lemon myrtle. Herbs from the maker's own garden go into infusions that end up in some of the soaps and balms.

The shop lets you choose whether a bar arrives unpackaged or with an ingredients label. The olive oil Castile bar is left to harden for six weeks before it is sold, and the maker dates each batch on the page.

Beyond soap bars, the range runs to shampoo bars, soap-on-a-rope, a laundry and dish bar, balms, lip balms, reed diffusers and sisal and jute bath accessories.
