Cedarwood & Crushed Walnut Shell Soap

Cedarwood and crushed walnut shell make a scrubbing bar with a warm, woody smell. The walnut shell gives it grit, and the cedarwood sits with lemon, rosemary and litsea cubeba essential oils, so the scent is timber first with a bright citrus edge. The maker says it appeals to men and women alike.

Elamoore Natural Soaps is a Busselton soap maker with a stall inside Origins Market, Western Australia. Its bars are cold process, made in small batches with no palm oil and no fragrance oils, and cut by hand. This one also has cocoa butter, beeswax and clay among the olive, coconut and castor oils.

It's the bar for the laundry trough after a day in the garden, or for the shower after a morning spent fixing fences.
