Dark Chocolate and Honeycomb

Chocolate-coated honeycomb is all about the contrast. First the snap of dark chocolate, then the honeycomb shatters and melts into toffee on your tongue. Little Otto's covers whole pieces of honeycomb in dark chocolate, so the slight bitterness of the chocolate keeps the honeycomb's sweetness in line.

It comes from the chocolate shop on the Busselton foreshore, Western Australia, where everything is made in the production room behind a bright orange wall. The shop opened around Easter 2025 in the town's former tennis club, and free tours behind that wall run daily and end with a tasting. The range runs from rocky road and coated pretzels to chocolate sea creatures and drinking chocolate.

Keep a bag in the pantry for the after-dinner cup of tea, or tuck one into a care package for someone far from the South West.
