Organic English Breakfast is a loose-leaf blend of Indian black teas, with an aroma the maker describes as warm toast and honey once milk goes in. It's the black tea most Australian households already know. English breakfast blends are traditionally built to stand up to milk and a good pot's worth of steeping time.
Seven Seas Tea blends and packages everything by hand in small batches at its shop on Bussell Highway in Cowaramup, Western Australia. The business grew out of its founder's time in a Singapore teahouse, and a sense that tea could be more of an occasion than it usually is.
Pour a pot for breakfast with milk, the way English breakfast is meant to be drunk, or keep a tin on hand for anyone who turns up wanting a proper cup.
