Australian Billy Tea

Australian Billy Tea is a black tea blend made with Australian-grown black tea, native peppermint gum and lemon-scented gum leaves, with a hint of smoky lapsang souchong running underneath. It takes its name from the billy, the tin can boiled over a campfire that has carried tea through Australian bush camps for generations.

Seven Seas Tea blends and packages its teas by hand in small batches at its shop on Bussell Highway in Cowaramup, Western Australia. The business began after its founder, then living in Singapore, decided that drinking tea deserved to feel like more of an occasion in a coffee-focused market.

Brew it the old way in a billy over a campfire, or in a teapot on the stove for a taste of the bush without leaving the kitchen.
