Coated Almonds are roasted almonds finished in a coat of milk or dark chocolate, sold by the 100g bag. The maker describes the dark chocolate version as vegan and gluten free, and the almond gives the chocolate something to crack through before the nut itself.
They're made at Temper Temper, the Cowaramup chocolate shop run by Roz and Georgia, who studied chocolate-making together in Melbourne after Roz had already run a chocolate business in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Coated Almonds sit in a wider range that also covers coated figs, apricots, licorice and Turkish delight.
Put a bowl out after dinner instead of a cheese board, or set a handful beside the coffee for something sweet at the end of the day.
