Raw Hemp Seed Oil

Raw hemp seed oil is cold-pressed from hemp grown and processed entirely in Australia, and it has a nutty taste that sits well in a salad dressing or through pasta. Its smoke point is low, so it belongs on the finished plate rather than in the pan.

Vasse Valley Hemp Farm grows its hemp at North Jindong, in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, where founders Chris and Bronwyn Blake set up the business in 2017. The same oil also turns up in the farm's soaps and balms.

Keep a small bottle for salads through summer, or a larger one if it's becoming the everyday dressing oil in the kitchen.
