MiKi Jewellery

MiKi Jewellery was started by Nic, who spent years travelling and then worked as a pearl diver in Broome before she began designing jewellery of her own. Ari joined her later. The sea runs through nearly everything they make: turtles, waves, shells and pearls.

Every design starts as a hand sketch by Nic at the studio in Dunsborough. From there it's modelled on computer, then cast and set.

The metals are chosen so the pieces can be worn in the sea: 925 sterling silver, sterling silver with a fine layer of 18k gold, and 316L stainless steel, plain or with a gold finish. The stones include turquoise, larimar, moonstone, amazonite, chalcedony and howlite, freshwater pearls, and opals, which the maker is clear are lab-created.

The range covers studs, huggies, drops and hoops, rings and toe rings, necklaces, chains and bracelets, grouped into named collections such as Ariel, Solstice and Lighthouse. Orders ship from Quindalup, just outside Dunsborough, and the team often has a stall at local markets. MiKi lists the other places its jewellery is sold on its own site.
