A toe ring is the most summery piece of jewellery there is, made for bare feet, sandals and sand. MiKi's Wave toe ring carries a single curling wave across the front in an 18k gold finish, and the maker counts it among its most popular pieces. It's a small thing that says you'd rather be at the beach.
The designs come from Nic, who worked as a pearl diver in Broome before she started MiKi Jewellery. Each one is sketched by hand at the studio in Dunsborough, Western Australia, then modelled on computer before it's cast and finished. The sea shows up everywhere in the range, in waves, turtles, shells and pearls, and the metals are chosen so the pieces can be worn in the water.
Put it on for the first swim of summer and leave it there until autumn.
