Sea Turtle Mother of Pearl Gold Studs

Mother of pearl is the lining of a shell, and it shimmers with soft pinks, greens and silvers as it moves. These gold-finish studs are shaped as little sea turtles, each with a piece of mother of pearl set into its shell. Because the shell is natural, no two pairs look quite the same.

They're designed by MiKi Jewellery, started by Nic after years of travel and a stint as a pearl diver in Broome. Each design begins as a hand sketch at the studio in Dunsborough, Western Australia, and is then modelled on computer before it's cast and set. The range runs from studs and huggies to rings, toe rings, necklaces and bracelets, much of it drawn from the ocean.

They're small enough to wear every day, and an easy gift for a daughter, sister or friend who lives in the water.
