River Ceramics
This small ceramic vase is made for a few flowers and leaves, or to stand alone on a shelf. It is wheel-thrown by hand in a warm, textured clay, so each one varies a little in shape and colour. The outside pairs a block of solid colour with bare clay, and the inside is glazed white.
River Ceramics is Jolene's studio in Margaret River, Western Australia, where she mixes the coloured slips for the Colina pieces herself. In most years she takes part in Margaret River Region Open Studios. The shop restocks two or three times a year, so this vase may be sold out when you look.
Put a sprig of rosemary or a couple of garden roses in it for the windowsill or a bedside table.
