Sweet chilli sauce is one of the harder-working bottles in a kitchen, a sugar, chilli, garlic and vinegar mix that works as a dipping sauce, a glaze on the barbecue, or a spoonful through a stir-fry. This is the Mild version, sold in a 375ml bottle, from a range that also runs to Medium and Extra Hot for anyone who wants more heat.
It is an own-brand product from Fine Food of Margaret River, founded by Italian-born Romano Rotelli and based in Cowaramup, Western Australia. It has held a stall at the Margaret River Farmers Market since 2001, and its kitchen shop stocks other South West-made brands alongside its own.
Mild suits a mixed table where not everyone wants the same heat.
