Margaret River Roasting Co
Genesis is the lighter, sweeter blend in the Margaret River Roasting Co range, built around hazelnut and stone-fruit notes rather than the deep cocoa of the darker blends. It softens further with milk, and is sold as whole beans or ground for stovetop, espresso, pour-over, French press or Aeropress.
The beans are roasted at the company's own roastery in Vasse, Western Australia, a solar-powered space with a cafe built in, so you can watch a batch of Genesis roasting while you drink the last one. The packaging is biodegradable and compostable.
It's a good place to start for anyone who finds a dark roast too heavy, or a gentler cup to pack for a morning on the water.
