Record Coffee Roasters is run by two roasters who learned the craft under Master Roaster Anne Cooper, then ran their own roastery, Hills Coffee Co., in Victoria's Dandenong Ranges for more than two years. In 2021 they moved west to the Margaret River region and gave the business a new name.

The name is the idea. Like a vinyl single, the range has two sides. Side A is the everyday coffee: easy drinking, reliable, the one you reorder. Side B is where the rarer, more experimental single origins go, and those lots come and go as they sell out.

In July 2025 they opened a roastery and tasting room in Cowaramup's light industrial area. Every batch is roasted there, and visitors can taste the current coffees with the roasting machine in full view.

The coffee goes out in recyclable aluminium cans rather than bags, and there's a mixed four-pack of cans for anyone who wants to try both sides. You'll also find Record poured in cafes around the region. Online orders ship Australia-wide and overseas.
